Volunteer
DO SOME GOOD IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD
At the Y, we believe that when people come together for a common cause, the whole community is strengthened. When you become a volunteer, you have an opportunity to share your time and talent with those who need it most. When you help a neighbor, you make a difference in their life…and in yours.
Our free food markets in Medford and Malden have openings to assist with stocking shelves and refrigerators, unloading and organizing deliveries, cleaning and organizing, preparing grocery bags, and supporting market shoppers. Volunteer hours are typically needed weekdays (mornings, afternoons), and Saturdays.
Online registration and background checks are required for individual volunteers and background checks only are required for one-time groups of volunteers. We welcome high school student volunteers ages 15 and older.
