Free food for Kids

When the school year ends and summer break starts many kids lose access to a key nutritional resource – school breakfast & lunch. The Y is able to bring the USDA Summer Food Service Program, Summer Eats, to the Malden, Medford, and Everett communities with the help of our generous partners.

The Summer Eats program enables The Y to provide free breakfast, hot lunch, and snacks to kids under 18 all summer long.

Our mobile food truck allows us to provide frozen meals for families to take home and heat up as needed.

  • Youth & Teens under 18 eat FREE
  • No registration or ID needed
  • Please note times are subject to change
  • Service may be altered due to inclement weather
